Constipation & Sluggish Bowels
Here is my natural remedy for constipation or sluggish bowels: Eat a large salad of dark leafy greens every day, and make sure you are getting your water. This will keep things moving as well as make a positive difference in your overall health that you will be able to feel. My salads include:
Basic greens: Collard greens, Kale (any variety), Rainbow Swiss Chard, and Spinach. Bunch together and slice 1/4 inch.
Additions: Your choice of veggies, fruits, or sprouts
Dressings: Use a tasty one, try something new. Watching fat, read the labels, there are many low fat choices available.
Suggestions: Try adding other greens like spicy lettuces, water cress, sunflower greens, pea greens, fresh herbs, or even edible weeds like chick pea or dandelion greens from your yard (no sprays). Add some fresh cilantro to your salad and top with your favorite salsa. Don't forget things like shredded or sliced jicama, yams, or whatever you can find in the produce isle.
Sprouts are easy to do at home and add tons of nutrition. Try lentils, soy beans, mung beans, sunflower seeds, and so many more.
There are so many choices you can have a different salad every day. Nutritious and filling. Enjoy. Connie
Migraines & Celiac
I approached Dave with a dilemma (ok, crisis in my mind) regarding my migraines. I had finally found a holistic remedy that really worked for me and the manufacturer decided to discontinue it. I was in a panic. I brought the ingredient list to Dave in hopes that he would somehow be able to reproduce it. What came out of the session was even greater. I brought him several pieces of a puzzle that I could not put together. Dave added the extra piece and everything fit perfectly. The migraines brought us both to a place in my body called the Peyer's Patch. In the patch's malfunction it was not absorbing B-vitamins...the main ingredient in the holistic remedy for my migraines. Go figure. The other piece that the patch brought in is the Celiac piece. The Peyer's Patch is also key in my Celiac issue. So, I began a daily regime of B-vitamins...B Total...and have not had a migraine since! And...no symptoms of Celiac either!
