Sinusitis Natural Remedies

Sinusitis is an inflammation or infection of the sinus cavities. It can be acute, when the infection lasts less than two weeks at a time. Acute sinusitis is more painful. Chronic sinusitis is less painful but lasting more than two weeks.

Causes of sinusitis can come from pollution, dust, allergies, swollen adenoids, damp weather, and teeth problems. It can also be a suppression of vaginal discharges. When a woman has vaginal discharge and uses antibiotics, the problem is suppressed and can be expressed through sinusitis. Using antibiotics can suppress problems in another part of the body and later show up as sinus problems.

Modern medicine treats sinusitis with antibiotics, which have side effects. They also use pain relievers, sinus sprays and surgery for some symptomatic relief. It does not cure the root of the problem.

From the natural perspective, this inflammation or infection of the sinuses comes from a weak immune system. Strengthening the immune system is closer to addressing the root cause.

What you can do naturally:

Stay away from tobacco, alcohol, coffee, black tea, soda pop, and also dairy products as they may cause mucus.

Using a netti pot with saline solution may temporarily help relieve pain and prove very helpful. XCLEAR is a nasal spray that is natural and pain-relieving.

Disclaimer: some drugs and herbs should not be combined.

Natural Healing Protocol: Combining supplements will do more to support your body's ability to function properly than using just one. Use the following remedies for best results -- your ability to heal will depend on the severity and length of time your symptoms have been present.
